for more info
This service
is designed to assist both consular staff and the public by providing
24-hour easy and quick access to faxed copies of a range of the
most frequently requested visa and passport information and forms.
The service can
also effect quite considerable cost savings for the consulate
in terms of time, printing and postage, while simultaneously
affording clients considerable savings in time waiting for posted
documents to arrive, or even having to travel to the consulate
to collect them.
How it works
The service is
available to callers who require documents which are on the service,
and who have access to a fax machine.
1. Ensure that
the fax machine is set to 'tone'(and not to 'pulse') mode. (Virtually
all machines simply have a switch on the side or at the back
to accomplish this, if necessary.)
2. You will need
the four digit 'service number' of any document you wish to receive.
The consular officer can supply this at the same time as supplying
the information below
3. The service
telephone number is 082-232-5643
4. After dialling
from your fax, you will he prompted as follows:
Press 1 if you already know
the service number of the document which you require. (if the
service number has been already supplied to you, you press 1
and you will be instructed to enter this number, and then press
'Start' on the machine. The document will immediately and automatically
be faxed to you.)
Press 2 If you want to receive
a list of all documents currently available on the service, together
with their service numbers. (For those of you who do not already
know what documents are available or their numbers.)
Press 3 If you want to listen
to a list of all available visa documents and their service numbers.
(You can simply listen to the make a note of the service numbers
you need, then press 1 and carry on as above.)
Press 4 if you want to listen
to a list of all available passport documents and their service
numbers. (As for above.)
